Dysphagia is a common problem after total laryngectomy and significantly affects the patient's quality of life. This webinar discusses
common causes of postlaryngectomy dysphagia and surgical aspects of dysphagia prevention. Therapy options will be discussed based
on videofluoroscopy studies and the results of a prospective coho study using the Swallowing Exercise Aid (SEA) in a group of Dutch total laryngectomy patients will be presented.
